As most hoops heads have learned by now, the greatest player to lace up a pair of basketball kicks will be featured on the cover of and in the new NBA 2K ‘11 video game. However questions have lingered as to what Mike will be rocking on his feet in the game, and those questions are finally answered. Sans his partner in crime, Sir Michael has been picking up a lot of momentum  through his collaborative projects with the good folks at IllRoots.  Capitalizing on the moment, they’ve decide to release the first of many visuals to accompany his work.  This particular song is produced by Mike Waxx.

Says Illroots:

We linked up with Sir Michael Rocks, or Mikey Rocks of The Cool Kids recently to shoot a video for an upcoming track off his project with producer Tye Hill and The Produktionix. Previously unreleased, Mikey is caught by the train tracks on top of his Range Rover. The show don’t stop, we don’t pose for no photo-op’s. Stay tuned as we have a few videos with Mikey in the works.

Following his three episode series promoting his new tape, Hannibal recently blessed aspiring MC’s as well as hip hop heads with the sequel to his Villains Gone Mad instrumental series.  I had a chance to listen to the tape in it’s entirety this morning, and if you’re looking to vibe out/rap to some soulful cuts, you should do the same.
